Color Pencil Portfolio Pattern - $8

What better gift for the young artist in your life than a color pencil portfolio! Portfolio design holds 12 colored pencils (or artistic tool of choice) and 6x9 sketchbook with a vertical opening. Instructions include how to create a fabric coordinated pencil pocket and ideas for decorating the front of your portfolio. Portfolio can be made with or without handles.

5 pages of instructions with accompanying colored photos to help guide you along. Instructions are to the point and easy to follow. Great pattern for someone new to sewing. It is recommended that you have attempted sewing at least once before this project to have a basic idea of some of the sewing terms.

Materials

Most of this pattern can be made with scraps left over from other projects.

* 1/2 yard linen fabirc (or main fabric of choice) - this amount will easily make more
* 1 fat quarter cotton for accent
* Fabric scraps for pencil pockets and exterior decoration
